The Hotel

An original lodge that runs entirely on solar power, located on the only private island in Lake Titicaca. With panoramic lake views from every room, the hotel has been designed with native materials such as stone, adobe and tiles to blend with the island and is surrounded by terraced gardens. With 24 rooms well-equipped rustic appearance, the lodge features a gourmet restaurant with candlelight, a bar, a games room, a small cultural museum and an Andean Cottage, spectacular two-room suite in a small private beach in front of the lake.

Suasi is a magical island off the world and watch colorful sunsets, sight vicuna, canoeing, hiking or enjoying a quiet steam sauna with eucalyptus leaves.

Suasi Island

Suasi Island has only 106 acres (43 hectares) - a speck in the middle of Lake Titicaca. It is a remote and serene place with no cars, no electricity, no television and no people or houses of any kind except the lodge. The main inhabitants are camelids: only 8 alpacas and 7 wild vicuna. While travelers can look forever Titicaca Lake or walk from one end to another of the island in just half an hour.The lodge is located 3 hours by boat from Puno, on the northeastern shore of the lake, only 1 km (0.6 miles) of land.

The island is the perfect place to escape and forget everything, but also offers a wide range of activities up to the more active traveler, from hiking, wildlife observation, canoeing, boating and campfires, to observe the stars in the Southern Hemisphere and relaxation with massage and sauna.
